INVESTIGATION DIVISION
Our investigating team is made of professionals who are P.O.S.T. Certified (Police Officer Standard Training) and commissioned through the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office. They are responsible for law enforcement activities in support of criminal cases being prosecuted by the District Attorney's Office.
Each investigating department specializes in various areas of law and crime. These activities include assisting prosecutors with their investigating needs by gathering evidence, tracking witnesses, serving subpoenas, analyzing information and ensuring that all witnesses and evidence required to prosecute cases are present when required in court or for the pre-trial diversion programs. Equally important is their dedication to law enforcement, community development, security, and the improvement of quality of life for Terrebonne Parish.
